David Copperfield is a stage illusionist cannot levitate. His walking through the wall trick at the Great Wall of China was a trick. An interpretive error that uses his name is in the 2001 translation of Falun Gong into English, and it is not in later English translations. In the original Chinese, his name is not mentioned.

This is why it is crucial for translators to stick to what the original Chinese text says and not add any personal interpretations. It is why I am pointing out that “Team Yellow” and their various interpretive translations have to be removed, because just like this example they have made many interpretive errors that result from their own understandings.

Here is another example. Chinese names in China are listed in the order of last name then first name, so for Master Li Hongzhi’s name, Li is the last name. It is against standards everywhere– academic and news media– to reverse the first and last names of Chinese people to make them fit Western order. Yet Team Yellow did this on the cover of multiple books that were published. They came up with this convention of theirs right there. That’s extremely bad and it demonstrates that the average practitioners across the world who are bi-lingual are completely slack in their cultivation practice not to oppose them. There is a lot going on like this right now.
