Once a person takes up practice of Falun Dafa, his or her moral standard rises above the norm of society today. However, for the average practitioner and the typical performer in Shen Yun, this remains a passive process. Even though their dance skills are extraordinary and this is enabled by them taking up practice in Falun Dafa, they are nevertheless passive recipients of the teachings, doing the bare minimum to follow what they say. They will read the books as a group and they will practice the exercises, but when tested on what they are instructed to do in interpersonal conflicts, which is tolerate them, they will fail regularly. This is in contrast to the true practitioners like me who are very diligent. They read the books and lectures regularly and also put them into practice. When criticized, they tolerate without getting upset. The average practitioners try to convince themselves that they actually do this, but there is always a pitiful trail of excuses and evidence that they are stonewalling someone or are unwilling to talk, have blocked the person, etc.
This website and the “Agenda” page exist because the average practitioners are lax and they caused all of the issues. They don’t recognize problems, they get upset easily when hearing any displeasing remark– regardless of whether it is true– and they will react emotionally to save face when they are wrong. Put simply, every performer in Shen Yun should support this website, me, and assist in dealing with the issues I bring up because I am authorized by Master Li to discuss them and I only have one goal with this position which is to address problems. They are far away from that, and that reveals their gaps in their cultivation practice. They have these gaps that are awful, but they won’t do bad deeds deliberately like people in society today, which makes them look good. Compared to people today, they are a lot better. On general issues, the performers in Shen Yun– even the ones who are undermining the show’s official promotions by operating their own social media– will behave better than the average ordinary person out there. But they won’t measure up when there are major issues that come up. In some cases, they will be the cause of the problems.
If they were just practicing on their own this way, none of the dancers would amount to anything in in the field of Classical Chinese dance that resembles the success of Shen Yun. Classical Chinese dance can be found in Taiwan and mainland China, but they would never be able to organize anything remotely resembling Shen Yun, something which appeals to countries across the world. It’s like Epoch Times and NTD: when the practitioners aren’t directed like dancers are at Shen Yun, it is a struggle for them to keep it together. The performers’ abilities to dance, the pieces they dance, and the entire environment that allows them to be in the show is entirely enabled by Master Li Hongzhi. The show is directed by Master Li and it isn’t an ordinary show. If they didn’t have this kind of direction, they would have no audience in the West, because you can’t promote a classical Chinese dance show like this outside of China and Taiwan normally, and what’s more it discusses issues pertaining to Falun Dafa, which makes it a topic more than just Classical Chinese dance alone.
