Sometimes people know that they come from a certain school, like the Tao School and that they are now practicing in Falun Dafa. They may know certain things but not specifics. Then, when they come to practice Falun Dafa their cultivation path will carry characteristics from what they knew from the past. This is a different subject altogether from mixing cultivation practices where someone goes and does something like mixing Taoism with Buddhism, something you can’t do. When I mention that I come from the Qimen School I am pointing out that that is my background, which then implies that many things I come across in Falun Dafa will resemble this. I might encounter awkward things from time to time.
